Nutrition X partner with Parker Financial Advice to green their workplace pension

Green ethical workplace pension

“We’ve known for a while that moving our pension scheme was one of the most sustainable things we could do” says James Markey, Managing Director at Nutrition X. We want everything we do here at Nutrition X to reflect our personal values and make it a great place to work. Sustainability is very important to us and we won’t shy away from taking accountability for our impact on the environment – from reducing the virgin plastic used in our packaging, to planting a tree for every order we get, we are taking steps to reduce and positively impact our carbon footprint. It became vital that our workplace pension scheme also reflected these core values.

We met with Parker Financial Advice as we wanted expert guidance on what options were available to us. They guided us through the whole process, ensuring they fully understood our values and our vision for the future of Nutrition X, and ultimately put together and implemented a pension scheme that we not only feel incredibly proud of, but one that ensures both our team and our planet are looked after. The team at Parker Financial Advice supported the onboarding of our people, introducing them to the scheme, and guiding them through the set-up, ensuring they understood the pension and how Nutrition X were supporting them”.

Ben Parker, Director at Parker Financial Advice, believes this is a match made in heaven. “James and Naomi at Nutrition X first approached us as they had tried to look into this themselves and found it baffling”. Their focus isn’t on the workplace pension, it’s on growing their business and creating a family environment for their employees. Parker Financial Advice specialise in pensions and ethical investing so were delighted to help. Ethical investing can mean different things to different people and what makes up an ethical  fund can wildly differ. We could tailor their new pension plan to their values as well as sit down face to face with each employee to talk them through it.
